Skylane offers 2x 100G QSFP-DD optical transceiver

Skylane Optics launches the 2x 100G QSFP-DD. This optical transceiver offers 2x 100G point-to-point interconnections by using a dual CS connector interfaces. It can be used in legacy 100G switches/routers with QSFP28 ports and also in 200G switches/routers offering a cost-effective transition from 100G interfaces like CWDM4, 4WDM-10 and LR4 by doubling the port density. The Skylane Optics QSFP-DD 2x100G is using 2x (4x25G) NRZ optical lanes. In other words, two 100G QSFP28 transceivers are co-located in a single QSFP-DD package with a High-density CS connector. This QSFP-DD is compliant with the QSFP-DD MSA and Digital diagnostics functions (DDM) are available via the I2C interface, as specified by the QSFP-DD MSA. Using The Skylane Optics 2x 100G QSFP-DD allows a cost-reduced migration to 200G needs and provides a way to increase the capacity of the current network without any set-up change.
