The Skylane EDFAMUX is an active multiplexer which combines up to three devices into one rack unit. Traditionally, long distance projects would require 1RU standalone passive MUX, a 1RU EDFA (amplifier), a dispersion compensation unit.

The Skylane Optics EDFAMUX integrates all three features into 1RU 19″ casing, saving space, reducing patching,
and simplifying setup.

EDFAMUX simplifies DWDM deployment, providing a comprehensive solution. It enables the seamless connection
of multiple channels over either duplex or single fiber, all within a single rack unit.

The new 400G Edfamux extends 400G wavelengths up to 120km in a compact 1RU design. By integrating EDFA amplification and dispersion compensation into one unit, it reduces the need for separate line system components and simlifies long-haul 400G deployments.
