This transceiver module is compliant the QSFP28 Multisource Agreement (MSA).

QSFP, Quarter (short for quad or 4-channels) Small Form-factor Pluggable is a compact, hot-pluggable transceiver.
The 4 channels can be combined into a single 40 Gigabit Ethernet link and usually for the application of Data center, 40G Ethernet, Infiniband, and other communications with an electrical interface compliant to the IEEE 802.3ba standard.
QSFP+ evolved as the standard to support 10Gb/s data rates per SFF-8436 and use MTP/MPO 9/125 single-mode fiber optic cables with 40GBASE-LR4 transceivers and MTP/MPO OM3 50/125 MMF fiber optic cables with 40GBASE-SR4 transceivers.
